Credit and Collections World
For those of you that are unaware being called by a collection agency and a collection dept. from a supply house you bought supplies from are two different worlds. One is Business to Business and the other is Third Party Collection calls. The third party collection calls is where they can call you from 9am-9pm if they don't reach the person's name on the account they can call back as much as they want until they reach that person. The best thing to do is answer the call and talk with them. They sometimes can work with you. If they won't tell you their name, address, what company their are calling from, or are vulgar with you and a phone number. They are in violation of the FDCPA laws and you are entitled to monies for each offence. Now the laws are different for business to business which is Corporate collections. It depends on the policy of the company. |
